Saw this on the flight back from Paris and absolutely adored it. One
of those films that came and went and no one knew about it because the
studios didn't believe in it enough to pump in the necessary marketing
dollars, sigh, commercialism. Definite tear jerker so be sure to have Tissues on standby. Hankies
are probably better bet. I laughed out loud, cried, sobbed and
sniffled my way all through the movie and would totally watch it all
over again. And to think, I was going to give it a miss because Paul
Giamatti typically doesn't end up on my must-watch list. As Barney
though, Giamatti definitely endeared me to him. My favorite character in the movie would definitely be Miriam.
Classically beautifully and breathtakingly confident, juxtaposing a
strong, independent personality with a hint of a need to love and be
held. A perfect woman, if I can say so. Watch it.
